Plugin | : Affiliate Table IOD Style | Author | : @<i>pebble</i>league | Download | : [like]Dropbox[/like] | Keys Used | : None | Last Update | : 26/07/2013 | Demo | : IOD Home page | Template Mods | : One |
Images: The best image is on the home page! Required Inputs : Lots. Description : A continuous sliding affiliate table. There are the options for head, base & side images. two buttons to show your own affiliate code and a re-direct to your sites affiliate request thread. Affiliates are clickable taking you to that site in a new window. Slide effects are stopped while hovering over an affiliate and that affiliate will be highlighted. Instructions : Download and activate the plugin. You now need to add : <div id="IODv5gallery"></div> to your home template. Where you place this will determine where the affiliate table will display. The plugin comes with some settings already added. This will allow you to get it up and running and change things as you go. For all support issues, please leave a post in this thread. Enjoy! <i>pebble</i>.

Hi @<i>pebble</i>league, I pm'ed you over on the Support site about help with this one. Again, I get most of it, but I wanted to keep it with simple gradients that matched the forum for the head and base images and I'm stumped. I have a bunch of themes and this would definitely go on the default one, maybe others. Link to forum is here. Thanks for any help.

Hi endo, Are you sure it's my affiliate table code? The one I'm seeing isn't by me! If you are planning on using my Affiliate Table Plugin, the best thing to do is set it up on a theme (not the default) and then I can take a look at how you have it set up. I'll be happy to help you out from there. Doing it blind is a bit difficult! I've joined your forum, so if you let me know which theme you have it on, I can take a look.

@<i>pebble</i>league Oh, sorry, lol. No, I haven't enabled yours yet. I've tried it and it has me stumped. I'll enable it on the Bloody theme, though I've done nothing with it as I don't know where to start. The idea of using images is a bit unknown to me. Thanks.
It's enabled and I don't see anything, that's where I'm having the problems, lol. I'm assuming I need to add head/base images to even see it? I can add the affiliate banners, but I'm not great with code.
EDIT: Sorry. Missed the part I had to add to the forum wrapper. I'll do that now.

I wrote this so long ago, it was before proboards let plugins come with predefined settings. What I'll do is re-write you an updated version of the plugin with predefined settings so that it works straight away (it'll have my images in there, but it'll give you a starting point). You can then work through it (with my help if needed).
It will be at the weekend, so check back, probably Saturday night.

Hey @<i>pebble</i>league got it and have it configured for our forum. I had no idea where to find head and base images for it so I modified the ones there. If that's a problem could you please point me in the right direction to find others? Also, the only issue seems to be if I re-size the affiliate table to our forums width, the first affiliate banner on the left side is blank at first, then the picture shows. Left at the original 828px width, that doesn't happen. Anyway, if that can't be helped so be it, it works and looks great. I have it working great on the McGani's Black theme.
Thanks so much for adding the images to it, that helped a ton. Would you prefer I add your plug in forum or this forum? Just would like to say thanks.

The gap for the first image is probably because you don't have enough affiliates added. Duplicate a couple that you already have , or add the one from here. You can request the latest one from Admin ( FKA RADesign ) here : linkIf you need some head and base images making for you, decide on the width that you want the affiliate table and the sort of style etc you want ( the more detailed the better ) and you could always make a request in the GFX section here at IOD.

I only had 2 affiliates added to test it and at the default width it filled all slots with both., no blank spots. However when I changed the width, then it showed the blank one first. It still occurs now with all affiliates added if I change the width. Weird. Not a big deal though, it's a very good looking table regardless. Added this forums code

Hi@<i>pebble</i>league just wanted stop by and say it must have been an error on my part. I've re-sized the affiliate table on 2 of my themes and it works great. Thanks again for adding the images, that really helped me figure out where mine should go. Awesome plugin, and you're great. Thanks and happy holidays.

@<i>pebble</i>league, just one more question about the affiliate bar. I've been tweaking it trying to get it to look more uniform with the rest of the forum and I think I've gotten it about where I like it. But is there any way to remove the word affiliates that is centered at the top of the bar? The way I have it now, the word affiliates is kind of just sitting on the background of the forum. Not the best at explaining it, maybe you could come by and take a look? I noticed on Army83's site he tweaked the wording and title some. Anyway, any help you could offer on this would be great and then I'll be all set and leave you alone, lol. Thanks very much in advance.

Oh.... It looks like I hard coded that onto the plugin. @army83 tested this out for me when I was converting it to v5 so he may have changed it then. I'll add it into the plugin tomorrow as an option (which it was/should have been) and post a new version . Thanks for pointing this out

Here you go The title text option is at the bottom of the 'Images and text' tab. You can set it blank if you want. Download : link Updating a plugin- Disable the old plugin (DO NOT DELETE IT).
- Download the new plugin.
- Import the new plugin to your site.
- You should be asked if you want to import settings, select yes.
- Check the settings & enable the plugin.
- If you're happy, you can now delete the old plugin.
