I'm not even sure if this is the right place to post this, but will give it a go.
First and foremost <i>pebble</i>, this is one nice plugin my friend!
Now to my question. Is there a chance that this can be mod so that we can also include Members & Colors that are not with a Group.
Right now the only choices are:
Administrator Global Moderator Moderator
EDIT: disregard my request, as I found a way around it.

I was just coming here to suggest making some groups that people can join that will change their text colour (or private groups they can request to be added to).

We surely were thinking on the same page...
I just added this text:
<center>Color Choices for Shouting Upon Request Here</center><br /> <center><font color="a0ff80">Color 1</font> | <font color="ffd700"> Color 2</font> | <font color="00827f"> Color 3</font> | <font color="d607ad"> Color 4</font> | <font color="ff0000"> Color 5</font> | <font color="ffff00"> Color 6</font> | <font color="ba8759"> Color 7</font> | <font color="f8f9b3"> Color 8</font></center><br />
just below: (Structure > Shoutbox)
<div class="title-bar"><h2>Shoutbox</h2></div> <div class="content">
and then made these groups (all of which are hidden):
Color 1
Color 2
Color 3
Color 4
Color 5
Color 6
Color 7
Color 8
and then went to this plugin and added the colors within that group.
All the member has to do, is let me know what color they choose from the 8 and then I'll Edit Profile > Staff Options > Manage Groups and add them to the Group Color of their choice.
Seems like a bit of work, but it's no problem on my end.

That's what I like! Come across a problem and then just work your way around it... My compliments for the way your brain works, aRMY.

Would it be possible for this to make the group names bold as well. Or is there another way?

Would it be possible for this to make the group names bold as well. Or is there another way? If you want all member names to be bold then you could try adding this to your CSS at the bottom: div.shoutbox_messages div.shoutbox-post a.user-link{ font-weight:900; }
And adjust the 900 to what ever you need. (And I quite like this so maybe Admin ( FKA RADesign ) will add it here at IOD?!?!?!? )

Have had no issues with this plugin until a member wanted a color for their text input and that is when I noticed it would not work as before. This is what I have: (images) Member Group:Group number and colour:This Member's Groups:Members Entry in the Shoutbox: Group hex color for group 3 is: 00827f and this hex color is not showing when the member sends a shout. I have went so far as to disable all plugins with the exception of this one and it will not show the correct hex color for that member. Everything above is from my test site: twkooler.proboards.com/and I'm having the same results on my main site: army83.forums.net/

We use it here @ IOD and it still seems to be working. I'd have to take a look at your shout-box to de-bug it, but you've got registration disabled at your test forum and your main site wont let me login, register or use the forgotten password features and i'm sure I'm a member there. It could be my crappy internet connection so don't worry about that yet, but if you could confirm that I am a member that'd help, either <i>pebble</i>league or <i>pebble</i>. I'll have another go on Tuesday when I'm back in the city with a proper internet connection.

Registration has been disabled on the test site: twkooler.proboards.com/if you want to take a look now. Many months ago, I deleted several accounts that I felt was not needed anymore after my issues were resolved.
