Instructions, download location etc etc TBA. I've gone for a maximum of 7 generations, blood line. Each entry has: first name Last name date of birth date of death place of birth Spouse full name Spouse #2 full name The total amount of entries will have to be 40 due to the size of the key that the data is stored in First and last name will be shown and the other info shown when hovered over. This is due to the tree becoming too wide for the forum post width. If there are any more suggestions, now is the time to mention them! You can try it out by pressing reply in this thread and then 'Start Tree'. The first entry should be the very top of your tree. Once you've started your tree you can enter more people by clicking on one of the entries. You can then Add a child Edit Remove Cancel. Updates:02/02/2015 Added to the new board. 04/02/2015Added confirmation timed pop-up when submitting tree to post Added second spouse name option Added first and second name to pop-up box when selecting an entry. Text colour is now that of the forum. Now works with pagination. Added a check that first & last names are added to the input. Known Bugs:CSS needs a bit of adjustment due to template CSS mods.Updates PendingAdd choices for colours. Just made it the colour of the forum for simplicity. Add Second Spouse?Add second name to selection boxOption for which inputs to use or not. Unlimited generations ( resticted by key length, but if you only use 2 inputs, then 80 entries might be possible! )

Hi Admin ( FKA RADesign ), This seems to be messing up my family tree a bit: .posts .post .message ul { list-style-type: disc; margin-left: 31px; }
If I take out the margin-left, everything is fine. Problem is... I don't know what it was/is for! Any ideas? EDIT: Don't worry. I added some CSS to over-ride it just for this plugin.

That's what this thread is for GP, go ahead and try to create a tree and if you get it wrong... you'll be banned from IOD no problem, have another go. If you input something wrong into one of the boxes, you can always go back and edit it or remove it.

If I take out the margin-left, everything is fine. Problem is... I don't know what it was/is for! Any ideas? It's a default css line, not something I added or changed. I think it's the small 'List item' circle you get when you use the 'List' ubbc button, like below: - List item 1
- List item 2
- List item 3

Yep, it's to indent a list in a post, but strangely it's not on my test forum... Maybe I need to start yet another default theme over there to get the latest CSS.

Maybe I need to start yet another default theme over there to get the latest CSS. I updated the CSS for all IOD Themes (including the default PB theme) just last week. Took me a couple of days to figure out everything that was added, removed or changed.

Just a quick go but how do you add a spouse details to any person?
i.e. if i wanted to show Junior Pappy's wife details ?
Also i made a small tree but don't see it on here? Where will it appear?

There are two problems.... The width of the tree bein bigger than the width of the posting area and the amount of data that can be stored. At the moment the tree only displays the blood line and spouses are just added as info. Would you want the DOB & DOD for the spouse? That is possible to add but would take the maximum number of entries down to about 30. I have the info for 2 spouses and you'd want the same for both. Adding the tree to your post: Once you have created the tree, remember to press the submit button at the top right corner and then submit your post. ( I'm thinking of moving the submit button down to the bottom so that it is more obvious )

Hi <i>pebble</i>, thanks for quick reply As you know it can take me a little while to get things to sink in with me Now once i create a tree on here, where will it stay? Will it be a button i can click on via my profile / mini profile? How do other members get to see it? I could see yours via the post but how would i normally find it? I think spouse details should be shown as maiden name. G.P.

Edit* The wording comes up but can't see the actual tree?

Ahh that could be a bug: I don't think I set the key when quoting.... I'll be doing an update later today or tomorrow hopefully.
