Required Inputs : None

Description : This plugin will add a button to your Reply page - 'Tablify'
Once pressed, you can then copy your Excel table and paste it into the box provided. Once any changes are done that you want to do, you can submit it to your post.

Instructions : Just install the plugin and enable it and you're good to go!
For all support issues, please leave a post in this thread.

Don't ask me how I got here - more by luck than good judgement!

I struggled with this site - visited <i>pebble</i>splugins and fared much better, had a play and got the desired effect/result - but for not being able to extend three individual sentences along the one line (all stayed in the start cell - wrapped).

Fairly satisfied with my progress, I returned to this IOD site to try again, more success this time, but after submitting, I don't know what my next step should be?   
Are you saying that I now need to DL a plugin (via your DL linkl above) to my machine - which in turn will allow me to perform the same routine on my machine and then paste the result directly to my forum page as a post, with the formatting staying the same?


If not - can you provide a very user friendly walkthrough for me please?

More or less, yes. I'll explain in simple steps (if they need to be even simpler then let me know)
First lets get the plugin -

• From the top post in this thread, click 'Dropbox'
• On the new page that appears, click download > save the download to a folder on your computer (remembering where you've saved it to! This may happen automatically and be put in your 'Downloads' folder.
• Now open up your site.
• Go to Admin > Plugins > Manage > Import plugin
• Now you need to follow the dialog and go to where you saved the plugin > select it > open & it should install on your forum Click finished!
• The plugin should now be installed on your forum Let me know when you have it installed and we can walk through the next processes.

Hi,
I do not have full admin authority so I am liaising with one of the site ADMIN team who has the full details as per your send to me. He is currently looking at getting this plugin onto our forum.
One small problem though - having Dl the plugin to dropbox which I already use - it is showing as .pbp file extension and as such will not open - could you advise please?

Aaahhh , I assumed you were the Admin. If you want to send the Admin of the site here if they need help installing/using the plugin , then that is no problem.

Regarding the file you downloaded : You can't open it. It is in a format that is just for download and then uploads in the same format to the forum site.

<i>pebble</i>s - I am the Admin for BVOF and have succesfully downloaded the Plugin.

Registration now approved on this site.

There are a few snags -

I have some blank spaces rather than the coloured background.

Some of my files may be too large.

Can I alter the font size to emphasise some sub -headings.

I would also like to to highlight the track names - larger font or different colour.

Glad you found your way here!

Are you still getting the black spaces in the table? I'm not sure which bit you fixed!
If it is still the black gaps, would it be possible to email me the excel file so I can test it out. The plugin may need a modification depending on what the problem is.

<i>pebble</i> - yes, and I am glad I did as it has opened up a whole new range of possibilities.

The problem I solved was finding that having created the Table I can go back and edit it changing Font sizes and colours, boldness etc.

The black spaces are still there and I will Email an Excel file and hopefully you may find a solution to the problem. Many many thanks Mycatsname - Bill

Thanks, I got the email.

The good news (for me!) is that the plugin is working as intended.
The blank/black spaces are because the , eg COVENTRY(409) , is one header/row across all the columns. I have an idea in my head how to fix that, though it maybe later in the week before I get round to it. I have a couple of other things on the go at the moment.
It'll also be an improvement to the plugin.

Keep checking in here and I'll post an updated code when I've done it. ( if I've not posted by Friday, give this thread a bump reminding me.)

PS: The size of the excel table isn't a problem, the plugin will cope.
