I have a question... it's about the name of the site. I would think there would be something oceanic involved in the design. I think it is beautifully decorated now with the shades of black, gray and orange. Yet... I see so many black sites online, it seems to be the flavor of the decade. I loved Speeds blue renditions and it would work well with a sleek cobalt steel enhancement. I just think you can look sleek and professional without being black. Just my opinion. See my image post on page 1

No, Speed, a richer deeper blue, ocean blue, but definitely blue not teal, and with a metalic gradient for the border and to border the IOD. Although I'm tired of black, IOD does need a masculine oomph. Sorry gals, I don't know how to express it better. Maybe macho would be better. Blue with a statement. This is a powerful site, a lot of talent, and not just the staff, but the members. I am in awe of some of the people that come here that speak the same language as the coders. So definitely power. Maybe a lightening bolt somewhere?
Look, I don't give praise lightly. I've been to dozens of coding sites in my seven year journey from "OMG I need a code? Is that legal?" to recognizing royalty. It's one thing to code, it's another thing to explain how to use it to newbies, and IOD excells at explaining and working with it's members. Anyone can open a coding site and offer codes for personal use, but it takes a special personality to be able to work with people and recognize that many askers are totally clueless and help them excell.
I just think IOD should be more upbeat and friendly looking and not so somber, to reflect the personalities of the staff.

The wonders of image manipulation called cage transform. The software you used intrigues me, Speed. I've never encountered an image manipulation function called Cage Transform before so this interests me greatly. I'm also wondering how did the ocean blend well so beautifully. Is it also another image manipulation or a filter or the ocean is from a separate stock image itself? =0

It is a new tool option on the Gimp 2.8 softwareI'm also wondering how did the ocean blend well so beautifully. Is it also another image manipulation or a filter or the ocean is from a separate stock image itself? =0 Both in conjunction with layer and opacity manipulationHope that helps

This is just a quick graphic to give an idea of what I was talking about. I haven't put all my "stuff" back on my computer since I had to rebuild it and I found out my plugins were not installed. So nothing fancy for me yet. Edit: I see now that it's InterOcean, sorry about that.

Don't worry JJ, you're not the only one! I've done exactly the same thing in my banners above ^^^. You'd think I should have known!

I have to say I love the blue ocean ones. I guess partially because Blue is my favorite color.

So we're talking about permanently changing the logo? If the logo changes colors, doesnt that mean changing the entire skin as well?
My two cents: Blue, include the oceans, keep the continents style on the current banner, and add clouds.
