I got some free time so updated the code

Example in the post above. (excuse the colours, I was just testing them out)

This is the download for the new plugin : Excel to posts

  Updating a plugin

• Disable the old plugin (DO NOT DELETE IT).
• Download the new plugin.
• Import the new plugin to your site.
• You should be asked if you want to import settings, select yes.
• Check the settings & enable the plugin.
• If you're happy, you can now delete the old plugin.

I couldn't find how to disable the replaced plugin and I now have two Tabify tabs and both have two lines of colour options! How do I clear one or need I bother?

I also get a meggage saying some Tables exceed the maximum allowed although they seem to accept them.

If I can resolve these points then the Forum will be up and running with a whole new dimension.

Can I say how much we appreciate your help. Is there a reason why the Tabify tab doesn't appear on all Pro-Boards sites because it really is a valuable option.

Are you part of the pro-Boards team because your help has been something special and as I have said much appreciated. Hope we don't have to trouble you again.

Hi mycatsname1, Glad to hear it's working for you

To disable the old plugin go to Admin > Plugins > Manage and on the left hand side there will be a listing called "HTML tables" and there are some check boxes, just click on the checkbox next to "HTML tables" and that will disable it. As you now have the new plugin, you can delete it by clicking the 'X' to the right hand side.

I'm not anything to do with the Proboards team although I do help out in their support pages now and again. We (the staff here at IOD and the members) all help each other out. It's a much more personal service here as we get a feel for how much/little help the other members need. Some members need a walk through and others just need a 'do this'!
Any problems or questions you have about your site, feel free to come here and ask away! There's always someone around that will lend a helping hand.

<i>pebble</i>s - mission complete I just can't express how grateful we are for your patience and expertise. On our Forum we all give our time and expertise for free but you have prouctes of value and I would have thought Pro-Boards should negotiate terms to use your Tabify facility as standard on their Forums as it adds a whole new dimension.

<i>pebble</i>s - making progress but one Table will not be created because it exceeds maximum field length of 262,144 characters. I would prefer not to split the Table which ironically was accepted when testing earlier. Is there a way round this? Many thanks Bill

Mmmmmm. That limit is actually set by Proboards so I can't change that particular thing. I have another idea in my head though!
If the file doesn't contain any personal information in it, could you email it to me. I'll then use it to test my idea out.

If you wanted to make a donation, it would be very much appreciated. You could buy some 'advert free' page views for this site instead of using PayPal. At the bottom of the home page is a link 'Click here to remove banner ads from this forum.' which should take you to the Proboards page to buy some ad-free.

On the page that appears from the link at the bottom of the page, there are drop down selections.

Ad free type - Select 'One time payment'

Ad free page views - select '100,000' ( which is $16 , roughly £10 which is very much appreciated ) The dollars are automatically converted to pounds by your credit card company.

When to apply - select 'Don't apply. Let the staff decide'

That amount is very welcome and goes toward the costs of keeping this site ad-free and a few other costs for things we use. If we help you again in the future, then feel free to do the same again!
