<i>pebble</i> I have this installed but is there anyway to have this where I can not only have a Top and Bottom Border but a Side Border as well. I was using a Wrapper Code for the CSS and it put the border spaced out from around the board which I really liked best, but it only allowed me to add a color. I can send you the code if you like in a pm. Is there anyway to have this plugin or could you create one to do this. Here is my test site that I have the plugin installed. countrythemes.proboards.com/I went ahead and used PSP to create what I am wanting to do. Thanks Chrissy

Hi Chrissy,
This plug-in can already do that. You just need three images (all with the same width).
- Top
- Middle (sides)
- Bottom
The Middle (sides) image will repeat itself vertically to fill your forum.
Note: these images are NOT up to scale. (I took these from the screenshot you provided)

Oh okay. I see what you are talking about RAD. Thanks. I need to create my background for the middle with the sides. Thanks a bunch.

RAD I made my background for the middle but I can't get the borders to go on the outer side of the board itself. This is with both the background settings set at 1000px and the background settings in the plugin itself set at 1000px. countrythemes.proboards.com/

The plug-in is called 'Border AROUND Forum" for a reason. You're supposed to create a border that is WIDER then the actual forum! So, either create your border images (2x15=30px) wider then the forum OR set the forum width to match the inside width of your images (970px).

RAD that isn't what I am wanting to do. I want to have my background, then I want a narrow border that goes around the Top, Bottom and both sides. I can do this with a Wrapper Code, I have for the CSS but that only allows me to do it with a color instead of a pattern. Would you like me to pm you the code? I tell you what let me put the code back in and then you can see what I am talking about. This is a good plugin and it works only if you want to do something like you have here at IOD and that isn't what I am wanting to do. If I change the width of the board so that the middle part would be wider than the board it cuts off part of the board.

Okay you can now see how the code puts a narrow 15px border around the outer part of the board. The width of the board has nothing to do with the border. Opps, forgot to give you the link. LOL!!! countrythemes.proboards.com/

No, I want to Frame the main board and not have anything in the middle of it.

Either it's the pain meds I'm taking or my English is getting worse lately, but you lost me. What do you mean by "not have anything in the middle of it"?

Transparent. A Frame around the board. Maybe this will help you understand, RAD. Here is the code I am working with. #wrapper { width: 950px; padding: 15px; border: 15px solid #928e7c; }
This puts only a border around the forum and that is it. You do not have to create 3 images. 2 for the top and one for the middle. The only thing this ONLY puts a color where as I want to be able to use a pattern of my choice.

The link I used in reply #9 should take you to one of my test sites where I did just what you wanted. An empty frame (the ugly orange border) which is completely transparent in between. True, the plugin doesn't include the ads within the border and you'll have to be a little creative to get the images right, but it does do the trick.
If you absolutely want to have the ads within the frame you will have to use a (relatively simple) Template Mod and some CSS. That however also uses three images (top, middle and bottom).
You can also opt for Speeds suggestion, although that one's not supported by IE.

RAD one thing I notice this still isn't going to work as you can see it makes a gap. I didn't notice it too much earlier when I used a lighter pattern but a darker one it sticks out like a sore thumb.
