Seems the Cloudfare problem is resolved, so here's the Mod.
I created the border images first. The border is 15px wide with a 15px marging between the borders and the forum, which is 940px wide. So, the border images should be 15 (left border) + 15 (left margin) + 940 (forum) + 15 (right margin) + 15 (right border) = 1000px wide. The top and bottom images should be 15 (border) + 15 (margin) = 30 px high. Since the middle image is repeated vertically, the hight depends on the pattern you use (for best results use a seamless tile).
Go to Admin>Themes>Advanced Styles & CSS>Style Sheet, select the Theme you want the border in and add the following lines to the bottom:
/* Outer Forum Border */ #ofbtop{ width: 1000px; margin: 0 auto -3px; } #ofbmid{ width: 1000px; margin: 0 auto; } #ofbbot{ width: 1000px; margin: -16px auto; }
Note: Replace the "width: 1000px;" with the width of YOUR images! Note: Depending on the height of your top and bottom images you might have to adjust the negative values for the margins (when you're finished with this mod) to eliminate any space between the images.
While in the Admin Panel, go to Themes>Layout Templates>Forum Wrapper (make sure you're still in the right Theme) and add the following lines between {/if} and <div id="wrapper">:
<div id="ofbtop"><img src="URL TO TOP IMAGE" /></div> <div id="ofbmid" style="background-image:url('URL TO MIDDLE IMAGE');">
So it should look like this:
{/if} <div id="ofbtop"><img src="URL TO TOP IMAGE" /></div> <div id="ofbmid" style="background-image:url('URL TO MIDDLE IMAGE');"> <div id="wrapper">
Then add the following lines (near the bottom) between {/if} and </body>:
</div> <div id="ofbbot"><img src="URL TO BOTTOM IMAGE" /></div>
So it should look like this:
{/if} </div> <div id="ofbbot"><img src="URL TO BOTTOM IMAGE" /></div> </body>
Note: Make sure you replace the "URL TO ..." with the actual url's of you images.
Thank you so much for the great directions! I'm so excited. I got it to work! Want to see what I did with it? truebluelibertytest2.proboards.com/There are two.. Glow and Sage.

Now, that is an impressive B.A.F. I have submitted the Sage theme to the Theme library. I want to give you credit for the code to do this, but over at support where I have the support thread, you don't show up in the tag list. Are you using a different name there?

But I don't deserve any credit for the code, cause it's @<i>pebble</i>league's code!

How about giving Admin ( FKA RADesign ) a credit for his help here, and for me, just add a link to IOD! That will be more than enough credit.

Both the Template Mod and the Plug-in are @<i>pebble</i>league's handywork. The Template Mod is rather 'old' and got replaced by the plug-in since most people prefer the ease-of-use of a plug-in. Here at IOD however, we use (and are constantly testing) so many plug-ins, that I decided to keep the Template Mod. All you could credit me for is the detailed explanation on how to set it up ( ) but, like @<i>pebble</i>league, I settle for a link to IOD.

Credit you both and a link back to IOD.

Admin ( FKA RADesign ), I need your help. I have submitted a couple of border around the forum themes to the library and someone posted this Wow, most of my post disappeared so here goes again. I am not using the plug in, I am using the code you gave such great directions for. Since my site is ad free I haven't had to deal with the issue that the poster is asking about. Any suggestions or help that you can offer would be greatly appreciated. I'm guessing something to add to the wrapper but I don't really know. Thanks.

blc, Can you make sure they have the plugin enabled for the theme. I noticed tonight that when I exported a theme from here to my test site, it said that plugins were enabled but I had to go into the edit part of the plugin and enable for the theme that I'd just imported.

I do not believe it has anything to do with the OFB but I do believe there is a conflict between the welcome banner below ad plug in and the sidebar plug in. blc , go on your test board and switch to the next generation theme. It doesn't have the side bar, ad is at the top. The glow theme and all other themes that have the side bar, the ad doesn't move. @<i>pebble</i>league would you concur with this?

Next Generation isn't relevant. Its not a border around the forum. The poster said they are using the Welcome Header Below Ad plugin. @<i>pebble</i>league, I did ask them to check to make sure it is enabled for the Glow theme. Will the Welcome Header Below Ad plugin recognize the baf image and put the ad above it? I think that is what they are wanting to do. This is the thread if you want to see it. support.proboards.com/thread/511228/glow?page=1&scrollTo=5852574
